It's Planting Time

Last year we began planting a family garden. It wasn't too big, but we were able to plant tomatoes, peppers, watermelon, cucumbers, squash, and zucchini. Some vegetables did better than others - we had tons of tomatoes, squash, and zucchini and 4 great watermelons. However, we were determined to give it another try this summer.

My husband is pretty handy with a few tools.
What is this??????

Why yes - garden markers for the boys to decorate!

Last night while Daddy was at softball, the big boys were hard at work.

And this morning all 3 boys joined us for some digging in the dirt.

With our garden a little bigger and even more attempts at some yummy vegetables, we began planting today. This morning we woke to a very cool morning for planting - but since our day was filled with ballgames, we began our work early.
Watermelon, tomatoes, green peppers, squash, zucchini, spinach, cabbage, cucumbers, green beans, and cherry bomb peppers.
Plus our strawberries and blueberries from last year (we will still have to wait one more summer for blueberries) - we are ready!

A few "sprinkles" (as Hudson calls it) for our garden.
