Yes, I am not posting a "Not Me Monday" blog on Wednesday.
And, I am not posting a "Not Me Monday" blog 20 minutes before my small group is coming to my house for my Bible Study. Sorry, I just really need some down time.

Ok, I'm pretty sure I have the most amazing husband in the world. After this - I think you will totally agree. Last night, I was at school at multi-cultural night. My husband was at home with Little H, who is fussy and who is getting a cold. He managed to wash, dry, and put away laundry, clean the back bathroom and(scrub the shower, tub, and floor. At midnight last night (after the boys and I were in bed), Daddy W swept and mopped the kitchen floor. After I was still at another meeting this afternoon, he cleaned the front bathroom and vacuumed the house. I did manage to dust and clean the kitchen, but that was pretty small in comparison.
I would say I'm a pretty lucky wife - definitely blessed.

This picture of the family was taken at Little H's dedication to the church. He was about 2 months old.

My Hunky Husband!

1) What's his name?
Husband

2)How long have you been married?
6 1/2 years.

3)How long did you date?
4 years

4)How old is he?
31 (man, is he getting old, or what?)

5)Who eats more?
He probably eats more, but he can skip meals throughout the day and make up for it later. Me, on the other hand, I eat small meals during the day.

6)Who said, "I love you," first?
I think he did, but I did right after.

7)Who is taller?
He is - He better be - I'm only 5'1.

8)Who sings better?
Probably me - he may be a jock, but he can't hold a tune for anything.

9)Who is smarter?
Probably he is - He loves crossword puzzles and knows a lot of history. He's also better in math than I am. However, I manage the bills and our day-to-day living.

10)Who's temper is worse?
Mine - the littlest thing can set me off and totally ruin my day - I like things "my way." He is more "go with the flow of things".

11)Who does the laundry?
We both hate the laundry. We do manage to wash the laundry, but then it sits in baskets for weeks on end.

12)Who does the dishes?
Uh, yeah - the same with the laundry - we hate housework. He ends up loading/unloading the dishwasher most of the time.

13)Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?
He is on the right side by the window. I have to sleep by the alarm clock.

14)Who pays the bills?
I do - as mentioned before. I have a peace knowing that I take care of them, otherwise, they worry me.

15)Who mows the lawn?
Um.... he does, except when I thought mowing the lawn would be a great weightloss plan - that didn't last long.

16)Who cooks dinner?
Most of the time - I do.

17)Who drives when you are together?
He does - though I am a really bad sideseat driver.

18)Who is more stubborn?
Definitely me!!!!

19)Who is the first to admit when they are wrong?
Never me!!! I never would admit to being wrong - Have I ever been wrong? I don't think so.

20)Whose parents do you see the most?
Mine. My mom keeps the boys every day.

21)Who has more friends?
I don't know - that would be a toss up.

22)Who has more siblings?
He does - he has 2 brothers. I have one sister.

23)Who wears the pants in the family?
Probably me again. I am working on that.

Sunday, February 16, 2009

So, where have I been in the last few days? I have no idea. Somehow, time has just slipped away. As my husband and son, C are practicing cello and my little H is sound asleep, I have a few minutes at the computer.
Today, I have officially cleaned out every drawer and rearranged every picture in my house. It's almost like I'm nesting again. I have cleaned floors, dusted my furniture, and practically driven my husband crazy.
Well, I now know the "honeymoon phase" is officially over with my poor husband. Afterall, I somehow managed to not get him a single thing for Valentine's Day. He got me just what I wanted, and we did enjoy a great meal together at a local restaurant. I think I have an idea for something in the future - in case he happens to read this, I guess I shouldn't post it.
Tomorrow, I have a day off with my boys. I love when I get paid to spend time at home with my family. That's what's great about being a teacher.

Above is a picture of my son, C at my sister's wedding. Since she has posted around 100 wedding pictures of herself on facebook and her blog, I thought it was only fair to post a picture of big C at her wedding. (I know), he is pretty handsome in his suit. (That's little H's bottle in the background of the picture)

Wednesday, February 11, 2009

I have peace and quiet for the next few minutes, so instead of folding and putting away those 6 loads of laundry, I am blogging - how crazy is that?
C had his Valentine's party at preschool today. We made shovel valentines for the kiddos and train cupcakes. C had a great time helping with the shovels and stuffing his own goodie bags. This is the first year he was able to write his own name on the tags of the cards. It was so precious.

When I got to Mom's this afternoon to pick up the boys, C was, of course, munching away on his Valentine candy. Explains why he is just now at 4:00 in the afternoon taking a nap.

This picture was taken last week, while Little H enjoyed the all famous, Biter Biscuit. Needless to say, he got a bath in the kitchen sink. Big Brother C thought this was hilarious! I should show him similar pictures of himself.

My wonderful husband has already given me my Valentine's Day presents. He can never wait, and I HATE surprises. I got a new Mommy necklace with the boys names on it. Also, I never seem to have pictures of my little kiddos with me - even though between my sister and me, we take tons of picures. He purchased me an adorable album to carry with me - my little "brag book." If you know me, you know that I specifically asked for each of these gifts - as I said before, NO SURPRISES!

Oh, one more thing - unlike other mothers who had "first snow of 09" pictures of their kids on Facebook the next day, I am just now uploading those off of my camera -
Little H only sat in the snow for a few short minutes. Big C made snowballs, threw snowballs at the house and doors, and rolled around outside - He loved it! Unfortunately, it will probably be the only snow we see this year.

Monday, February 9, 2009

This is my first "Not Me Monday" posts - hopefully the first of many to come.
I think I could actually get the hang of this.

I currently do not have 6 loads of laundry sitting in baskets, waiting to be folded and put away in the laundry room. Laundry that will probably never make it to our drawers. Laundry that we will search through each morning for our socks and underwear for the next week.

I am currently not blogging in between making cupcakes for my son C's school Valentine's party, brushing teeth, putting my children to bed, and talking to my husband in between it all.

I am not currently letting my husband take care of the boys for a moment while I finish this blog. Because he did not leave me tonight to play racquetball with his buddies from small group. Afterall, it is his turn.

Sunday, February 8, 2009 -

Here goes nothing - I am probably the worst person in the world to have a blog.
Inspiration from my sister, none the less.
I am terrible at e-mail and any type of technology, but I will give this a shot.
I know she wants to keep updated on my family, since she will be moving away in a few short months.
I know she hopes I will keep up with this - I will try not to disappoint her.
I do have the two sweetest boys in the whole world.

C has just picked up playing the cello. His attention span in not that great yet, but he does fairly well. He wants to show everyone who comes to visit his new cello. He played it today for my classroom assistant, Mrs. R. We had such a warm day outside that Daddy and C got to kick around the soccer ball and play a little baseball outside. I am so ready for spring - I hate the cold weather.

We even took out H and his jumperoo and let him jump outside. He laughed and played, watching big C the whole time.
C says he wants to share a room with H when he gets bigger - we'll see what he says in a few years.
We just had 6 month pictures of H taken - yes, we even had chubby, naked pictures taken to torture him with when he gets older. We will be sure to show his little girlfriends when they come to visit.

Yes, he is rubbing his teething gums with his toes - if only everyone could be so flexible!
