So.....here's to some easy chores that a 6-year-old can help with.
1). Dust - Clayton is able to help dust furniture around the house. Spraying the polish is his favorite part. It may not be perfect, but I would NEVER tell him that!
2). Make his bed - Big C is able to help make his bed. Most mornings Grandma is responsible of making all beds (including mine). - I know pathetic! But on weekends, Clayton does help make his bed and mine too!
3). Packing his school lunch - On days when Clayton chooses a packed lunch over the school lunch, he does help in packing his own lunch. He always wants a sandwich, and is able to make a ham/mustard or peanut butter/jelly sandwich with little assistance. He then stuffs his lunch box with a package of chips, yogurt, fruit, cheese stick or sweet treat and Capri Sun to drink.
4). Laundry - Clayton has always been interested in the laundry. Even as a toddler, I was able to hand him the wet laundry from the washer and he placed it into the dryer. Now, he is able to fold towels and washcloths and helps put away laundry. He is completely responsible for putting his own clothing away!
5). Unload/Load Dishwasher - Clayton does help in the kitchen. He is able to help unload silverware and Tupperware from the dishwasher and putting away all silverware correctly. When loading, I am able to hand him the rinsed dishes and he places them into the dishwasher to be cleaned.
Just think......give him a couple of years and he will be mowing the yard, washing cars, vacuuming, mopping - you name it!

Baby Trinket of the Week - The Skwish
Gray and Cousin Adalyn love to much on this adorable toy! It is easy to hold, chew, and squeeze. A little easier to hold and manage than wooden beads or balls, the strings in this toy make is super flexible and super fun. We love it!
